This specialized master’s degree helps you deepen your knowledge in elementary and middle-grades mathematics and science education, enabling you to improve student problem-solving skills by incorporating research-based, technology-enhanced strategies including AI into your classroom. When you join the K–8 Mathematics and Science Education program, you become part of a supportive and collaborative cohort. Many graduates transition into roles like STEM coordinator, math or science coach, or an instructional leader. Teachers with three or more years of K–8 mathematics or science experience in public Florida schools may also qualify for the , which may provide tuition support, making this advanced degree more affordable. Teaching Mathematics and Science Using Reform-Based Practices

This course focuses on the work of Dewey and Piaget as it applies to mathematics and science teaching, with emphasized integration of math and science teaching.

This course emphasizes the reform movement, including technology, history of curriculum, curriculum theory and standards documents.

This course helps mathematics and science teachers develop the necessary skills to assume teacher leadership roles in their schools.
