Orange County Commissioners praised the 麻豆原创 Downtown project Tuesday and unanimously committed $3 million toward the campus.

鈥淚 think it鈥檇 be great for downtown. I think it鈥檇 be great for Parramore,鈥 said Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs.

She continued, 鈥淲e鈥檙e hoping that by showing united support here locally, that that will help give them the momentum to begin this initiative.”

Orange County’s commitment comes just days before 麻豆原创 leaders are scheduled to update the Florida Board of Governors on the downtown campus and request its approval.

鈥淲e firmly believe that the programs we鈥檝e identified to come downtown will be made better because of the environment. and the amenities of downtown will increase the educational opportunities for our students,鈥 said Fred Kittinger, 麻豆原创鈥檚 Associate VP of University Relations, during his presentation to the Orange County Commission.
