He has served in a variety of capacities, including academic affairs, student affairs, and community outreach and service.<\/p>\n<p>In academic affairs, Eugene served as tenured faculty, department chair, area director, dean of bachelor of applied science programs and associate vice president of baccalaureate and workforce programs. In student affairs, he served as the executive director of My Brother\u2019s Keeper at Santa Fe College, a program charged with recruiting, retaining and graduating men of color.<\/p>\n<p>In community outreach, Eugene served as chair of the East Gainesville Initiative and oversaw the Sumter Workforce Partnership.
