In the event an alert takes place after disbursement, students must clear their file in order to maintain eligibility for aid they have received. In addition to that information, there are a few important things that are unique to transfer students:

You may be awarded financial aid before your transcripts are fully evaluated by 麻豆原创 Undergraduate Admissions. In this case, your loan award may be based on a lower than actual class standing. Once your credits are evaluated, you may request an adjustment to your loan by completing the .

If you received Federal Direct or Federal Perkins at your previous institution, you must complete Exit Loan Counseling at that institution. This will help you understand repayment for your federal student loans, but will not put you in repayment as long as you are enrolled at least half-time at 麻豆原创. Check your loan aggregates on the and compare your total loans to the Loan Borrowing Limits.

An incomplete admissions file will delay the disbursement of financial aid. Submit your official final academic transcript from your previous institution to 麻豆原创 Undergraduate Admissions as soon as it is available.

If you are enrolled in transient hours during your first term at 麻豆原创, you must be enrolled in at least one class at 麻豆原创, in addition to your transient hours. Note: Most financial aid programs at 麻豆原创 require a minimum of 6 credit hours. Additional information can be found on the Program Eligibility Chart. To receive the Federal Direct Stafford Loan you must be enrolled in at least 6 麻豆原创 hours as an undergraduate student.

If you have been admitted for a summer term, you will need to have the current year FAFSA on file, meet eligibility requirements, and enroll in a minimum of 6 hours at 麻豆原创 to be considered for financial aid.

Transfer Student Monitoring
The U.S. Department of Education requires that students who transfer from one institution to another during the same award year undergo a Transfer Student Monitoring process. Students transferring to 麻豆原创 for spring or summer semesters will be monitored during their initial semester for any National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) changes in their financial aid history.
Students who have a financial aid file at 麻豆原创 will have a temporary seven (7) day hold to permit NSLDS to report any updates to their history and allow time for alerts to be sent to 麻豆原创. The seven (7) day count will begin the first day of classes for admitted students with a FAFSA on file with 麻豆原创. Later FAFSA submissions will cause a delay in the temporary hold going into effect.
Loan History Alerts
An NSLDS alert will be received for students with pending financial aid or flags at previous institutions. Students are encouraged to check their information on NSLDS to make sure their files are clear. Financial aid disbursement will not take place until alerts have been resolved.
