Federal Changes Impacting Financial Aid<\/strong><\/p>\n

On July 4, 2025, legislation (One Big Beautiful Bill\/H.R. 1- An act to provide reconciliation<\/a>) was signed into law by President Trump. This act has implications for the administration of federally funded student aid starting on July 1, 2026. The Pell Grant is available to degree-seeking undergraduate students who have never received a baccalaureate degree.<\/p>\n

The Pell Grant Program is the largest of the Federal Student Aid grant programs and provides a \u201cfoundation\u201d of financial aid to which assistance from other federal and non-federal sources may be added. The Pell Grant is available year-round.<\/p>\n

The maximum annual Pell Grant for the award year may change from year to year according to Congressional appropriation. Pell Grant eligibility is determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).<\/p>\n
