Max Rodenbeck, chief Middle East correspondent for the Economist, will speak Thursday, Feb. 6, on the topic 鈥淢iddle East in Transition.鈥 听The event will be held at 3 p.m. in the Cape Florida Ballroom of the 麻豆原创 Student Union.

A writer for the Economist since 1989, Rodenbeck covers the Middle East region from Morocco to Iran and has reported on a wide range of topics including business, politics, pop culture and ter颅rorism. 听In addition, Rodenbeck鈥檚 work has fueled many popular discussions about the Middle East, and he has participated as a speaker at a variety of international forums. 听He is considered one of the foremost experts on today鈥檚 Middle East, and in addition to a wide readership in the Economist, he is regularly used as a source for the international media on all matters related to the region.听
