,聽an associate聽professor聽and聽聽chair, has been awarded Fellow status by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
National Strength and Conditioning Association聽Fellows are an accomplished group of professionals who promote excellence and leadership within the NSCA.聽Fukuda was selected for this honor based upon his frequent and sustained contributions to the strength and conditioning profession, which have聽promoted and supported the goals and activities聽of the NSCA.
鈥淚鈥檓 extremely honored to be聽named聽an NSCA聽Fellow,鈥 Fukuda says. 鈥淭he NSCA has been impactful on my career and the organization continues to play a major role in the development聽of our students through聽various聽support聽mechanisms聽and聽networking opportunities, while providing an avenue through which we can share the results of our research.鈥
Fukuda has devoted his career to scholarship within the field of聽kinesiology. He has developed聽niche聽expertise聽in athlete assessment and performance,聽specifically in the field of martial arts. In addition to leading undergraduate and graduate programs in聽kinesiology聽and聽exercise聽physiology at 麻豆原创, Fukuda has also had national and international impact in the field through his scholarly contributions, including numerous peer-reviewed journal articles,聽an聽authored textbook, Assessments for Sport and Athletic Performance, and various presentations on related topics.
Fukuda also helps further the field of聽kinesiology聽by mentoring future generations of scholars in the field. Fukuda has served as faculty advisor on numerous master鈥檚聽theses聽and doctoral dissertations in his role at 麻豆原创.

Fukuda will be honored during the NSCA鈥檚 national conference later this year.
