On Monday, 麻豆原创 students and alumni reserved all available tailgating spots on Memory Mall for the Knights鈥� home opener against Florida International University on Sept. 3.
All spaces were taken within a few hours of the new 鈥淜nights on the Mall鈥� reservation system going live at 10 a.m. Monday.
It鈥檚 the first season students and alumni are able to reserve prime tailgating space on Memory Mall, where there鈥檚 a new slate of entertainment including food trucks, live bands in the Student Government Association tailgating area and giveaways for students.
The Student Government Association and the university have worked together, with support from the 麻豆原创 Alumni Association and 麻豆原创 Athletics, to develop the new tailgating experience that allows fans to reserve space rather than show up first thing in the morning to stake out a spot.
It鈥檚 possible that some fans who reserved spots may cancel their reservations. Monitor the Knights on the Mall Twitter and accounts for up-to-the-minute information.
Only spots on Memory Mall must be reserved. All other spots remain available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Reservations open at 10 a.m. Sept. 7 for Memory Mall tailgating spots for 麻豆原创鈥檚 second home game, against Furman University on Sept. 19.
