Outstanding Rosen College Staff Recognized

On Friday, August 7, three outstanding staff members were recognized at the Rosen College Staff Retreat. Fazal Jameer, academic services coordinator, received the 2014-2015 Staff Member of the Year Award and Elouinise Baptiste, financial aid advisor/scholarship coordinator, received the 2014-2015 Associate Staff Member of the Year Award. Culinary Assistant Nick Marsili was recognized as the 2015 Robert A. Ashley Culinary Excellence Award winner.

“We are very fortunate to have staff who are committed to our values of professionalism, leadership and service,” said Dr. Abraham Pizam, dean of �鶹ԭ��’s Rosen College of Hospitality Management. “Fazal, Elouinise and Nick are highly deserving of this recognition for their dedication to our mission of developing future generations of global hospitality and tourism leaders.”

Rosen College Announces New Study Abroad Partner in U.K.

Students majoring in hospitality management, restaurant management or event management now have another choice in the United Kingdom to consider when they study abroad. In addition to the University of Surrey, in Bournemouth, U.K. is now a partner for Reciprocal Student Exchange programs.

Bournemouth University has a growing population of 17,706 students and 2,000 international students from 100 countries. Situated in the center of the south coast, Bournemouth is a tourist destination located about two hours from central London by train or coach and about 1.5 hours from Heathrow Airport. Its relaxed beach lifestyle is the perfect setting for studying subject areas like hospitality, tourism, events, leisure, retail and sport.

Students will be able to attend Bournemouth University starting in Spring 2015.
