When Will Classes Conclude and Game Day Activities Start?

Because of the early kickoff time for this first game, classes on the main campus, in the Central Florida Research Park, at the Rosen College of Hospitality Management and on 麻豆原创’s regional campuses will conclude at noon. Offices at those locations also will close for normal operations at noon.

Campus parking lots will open to fans at 1 p.m., when tailgating activities may begin.

Where Can Faculty, Staff and Students Park for the Entire Day?

All vehicles without a valid football game day permit in garages C, D, F and H and lots B4, C1-C2, D1-D2 and E1-E8 are subject to towing beginning at 1 p.m.

    What鈥檚 New on Memory Mall?

For the first time, all tailgating spaces on Memory Mall are reserved for students and alumni. The spaces were so popular they were snapped up just hours after reservations opened. Due to canceled reservations or no shows, a small number of spaces may be available to students and alumni on game day. However, other fans cannot show up on game day and set up a tent on Memory Mall.

The Student Government Association, now located in the center section of the mall, is offering expanded entertainment options, a cool zone and food trucks open to all fans.

Where Can I Set Up My Tent If I Don鈥檛 Have a Space on Memory Mall?

Anywhere else! (except in parking garages).

    Anything Special for Alumni?

Yes! Visit the 麻豆原创 Fairwinds Alumni Center starting at 3 p.m. for an Indoor Tailgate. You鈥檒l find food from Bubbalou鈥檚 Bodacious Bar-B-Que, a kid-friendly game room and live DJ. Not to mention air conditioning and clean restrooms. Just bring your key card 鈥 if you need one 鈥 and driver鈥檚 license.

Leave your drone at home. For the safety of fans, it鈥檚 prohibited on the 麻豆原创 campus on game days.

    Did Traffic Patterns Change?

After a two-year customer service survey, traffic patterns after the game are changing to help fans exit campus as quickly as possible.

Traffic will not be able to enter the campus via North Orion Boulevard starting at the end of the first quarter while the road is set up to handle exiting traffic on all four lanes.

Can I Take a Shuttle to the Game?

On game day, 麻豆原创 will operate the student shuttles that normally serve off-campus apartment complexes, except for Tivoli, Northgate and NorthView (routes 6 and 13) because of their close proximity to the stadium. 滨迟鈥檚 the first season students and alumni are able to reserve prime tailgating space on Memory Mall, where there鈥檚 a new slate of entertainment including food trucks, live bands in the Student Government Association tailgating area and giveaways for students.

The Student Government Association and the university have worked together, with support from the 麻豆原创 Alumni Association and 麻豆原创 Athletics, to develop the new tailgating experience that allows fans to reserve space rather than show up first thing in the morning to stake out a spot.

滨迟鈥檚 possible that some fans who reserved spots may cancel their reservations. Monitor the Knights on the Mall Twitter and accounts for up-to-the-minute information.

Only spots on Memory Mall must be reserved. All other spots remain available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Registration for tailgating spaces for the Knights鈥 home opener will begin at 10 a.m. Monday. Tailgating activities for the 麻豆原创-FIU game on Sept. 3 will begin at 1 p.m., and the game will kick off at 6 p.m. at Bright House Networks Stadium.

Students and alumni can select their tailgating spaces for free by clicking on the registration buttons at ucfsga.com/knightsonthemall.

For the first time, Memory Mall also will be the home of several food trucks on game days, as well as live bands in the Student Government Association tailgating area and giveaways for students each game. At each game, a Tailgater of the Week will win a 麻豆原创-themed tent and other gear already set up in a guaranteed reserved space at the following game.

Student spaces will be in the two sections closest to the Student Union. Alumni spaces will be closest to the CFE Arena. Reservations for each game will be taken separately.

The Student Government Association and the university have worked together, with support from the 麻豆原创 Alumni Association and 麻豆原创 Athletics, to develop the new tailgating experience.

Below are a handful of key questions and answers about the changes:

    Why was the change made?

Students and alumni no longer will have to arrive several hours before tailgating begins to land a coveted spot on Memory Mall. Fans can check in starting one hour before tailgating activities begin, or they can wait until as late as three hours before kickoff to arrive.

Can students and alumni sign up for specific spaces?

Yes. They can select a space from the map on the registration website.

Does everyone in my group need to be a student or alumnus/alumna?

No. Only one person must be a student or alumnus/alumna to make a reservation. 麻豆原创 will verify student/alumni status for all who make reservations. The person who makes the reservation must be the one to check in for the group on game day.

    What does my reservation include?

It guarantees a designated tailgating spot on game day. Fans must provide their own tents and other tailgating gear.聽Student reservations include a complimentary parking pass for Garage H provided by the Student Government Association.

Will I be able to register for a space on game day?

Unreserved spaces (if any) will be available to students and alumni starting at check-in time 鈥 noon for the FIU game. Those interested should go to the student check-in table.

Where can fans who do not have reservations tailgate?

They can set up their tents anywhere on campus except for Memory Mall. All fans are still welcome to enjoy the food trucks and live entertainment on Memory Mall.
