They are completing a bachelor\u2019s degree or looking to advance their career with a graduate degree. High-quality online programs fit their demanding work and home life \u2014 they can earn degrees, gain skills employers are seeking and prepare for the workforce of tomorrow while staying employed and supporting their families.<\/p>\n<p>Today, <em>U.S. News &amp; World Report<\/em> again recognized the quality of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/online\/\">麻豆原创\u2019s online degrees<\/a>, ranking the university No. 8 in the nation for overall <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/online\/bachelors\/\">Best Online Bachelor\u2019s Programs<\/a>. 麻豆原创 tied for No. 1 in the country for the Best Online Bachelor\u2019s Programs in Psychology and ranked No. 7 for Best Online Bachelor\u2019s Programs for Veterans.<\/p>\n<p>Of the 17 麻豆原创 national online rankings from <em>U.S. News<\/em>, nine programs made the top 10 and four others were ranked in the top 15.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c麻豆原创 has a long history of leveraging innovation to increase the accessibility of high-quality degree programs that help students from all backgrounds unleash their potential and the potential of our community,\u201d 麻豆原创 President Alexander N. That includes in-demand programs such as healthcare, engineering, criminal justice, hospitality and education.<\/p>\n<p>By focusing on excellence, 麻豆原创 produces a skilled workforce to meet the needs of its community, Florida and beyond \u2014 including as the top source of talent nationwide for the aerospace and defense industry. <em>U.S. News &amp; World Report&nbsp;<\/em>has recognized 麻豆原创\u2019s growing national reputation in its annual ranking of high-quality online degree programs, as well as its Best Colleges and Best Graduate Schools lists.<\/p>\n<p>Highlights from the <em>U.S. News<\/em> online rankings include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 (tie) for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/online\/degree\/psychology-b-s\/\">Best Online Bachelor\u2019s Programs in Psychology<\/a>, up five spots from last year<\/li>\n<li>6 for Best Online Graduate Nursing Programs \u2013 Administration\/Leadership<\/li>\n<li>7 for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/online\/military-admissions\/\">Best Online Bachelor\u2019s Programs for Veterans<\/a>, Best Online Graduate Criminal Justice Programs for Veterans, and Best Online Graduate Computer IT Programs for Veterans<\/li>\n<li>8 for Overall <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/online\/bachelors\/\">Best Online Bachelor\u2019s Programs<\/a><\/li>\n<li>8 (tie) for Best Online Bachelor\u2019s Programs for Business, specifically the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/online\/degree\/lodging-and-restaurant-management-bs\/\">BS Lodging &amp; Restaurant Management<\/a> program<\/li>\n<li>8 (tie) for Best Online Graduate Education Programs \u2013 Educational Administration and Supervision<\/li>\n<li>10 (tie) for Overall&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/online\/degree\/nursing-m-s-n\/\">Best Online Graduate Nursing Programs<\/a><\/li>\n<li>11 (tie) for Best Online Graduate Nursing Programs \u2013 Nursing Education<\/li>\n<li>12 (tie) for Best Online Graduate Education Programs \u2013 Curriculum and Instruction<\/li>\n<li>13 (tie) for Best Online Graduate Education Programs \u2013 Educational\/Instructional Media Design<\/li>\n<li>13 for Overall <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/online\/criminal-justice\/\">Best Online Graduate Criminal Justice Programs<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For the No. 1 ranking of Best Online Bachelor\u2019s Programs in Psychology, Department of Psychology Chair Florian Jentsch credits the hard work of faculty, teaching assistants and staff for creating what he calls an \u201cinnovative, robust and educationally sound\u201d degree program. \u201cIn psychology at 麻豆原创, nearly all faculty are involved in offering the online bachelor\u2019s program,\u201d Jentsch says.<\/p>\n<p>Several programs have risen sharply in the rankings in a short time, including Overall Best Online Graduate Nursing Programs, which has soared into the top 10 just five years after being ranked No. 66. The increase is a reflection of 麻豆原创 faculty\u2019s drive to meet the demand for high-quality advanced degrees to address nursing shortages in Florida and across the country.<\/p>\n<p>Dorothea Ballai, a 27-year-old registered nurse who lives in Stuart, says she initially was drawn to 麻豆原创\u2019s online programs because of their high rankings. The flexibility she found in 麻豆原创\u2019s master\u2019s in nursing leadership and management program solidified her decision to enroll.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe program has been so flexible and helpful, which allows me to work full-time. Because of 麻豆原创 I\u2019ve been able to further my education in a way I didn\u2019t think I\u2019d be able to. I was very thankful for that opportunity,\u201d Ballai says. \u201cThe faculty are extremely phenomenal and so supportive. You can tell they want everyone to succeed. Even at a distance, I\u2019ve always felt supported as an online student.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, the university ranked No. 13 in the country for Best Online Graduate Criminal Justice Programs, having climbed 26 spots from No. 39 in 2018. 麻豆原创 tied at No. 37 in overall <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/online\/engineering\/\">Best Online Graduate Engineering Programs<\/a> \u2014 an extremely competitive category \u2014 after rising 42 spots in just one year.<\/p>\n<p>Rankings of best online programs for student veterans have risen in several categories, including Best Online Bachelor\u2019s Programs, which moved up five spots since 2018. <a href=\"https:\/\/varc.sdes.ucf.edu\">麻豆原创\u2019s Office of Military and Veteran Student Success<\/a> focuses on the student experience and student success by providing intentional academic advising and career counseling for student veterans, active military and military-connected students who receive support professional staff and from peer mentors who understand the unique challenges they face.<\/p>\n<p>The rise in rankings is a result of 麻豆原创\u2019s deep experience with online learning.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur dedicated faculty\u2019s hard work and commitment to students are key to providing the high-quality online programs 麻豆原创 is known for,\u201d says Tom Cavanagh, vice provost for <a href=\"https:\/\/digitallearning.ucf.edu\">Digital Learning at 麻豆原创<\/a>. \u201cBy leveraging innovative technology and cutting-edge teaching practices, they create engaging learning environments that empower our students to learn, thrive and graduate with life-changing degrees.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>麻豆原创 began offering online classes in 1996 \u2014 long before most universities \u2014 and has continually fine-tuned its course offerings and kept pace with new instructional technology. Every faculty instructor who plans to teach online is paired with an instructional designer to learn the most effective way to deliver an online course.
