Student Development and Enrollment Services (SDES) at 麻豆原创 has adopted the Social Change Model of Leadership as the divisionwide model for student leadership development. SDES staff and students strive to apply the 麻豆原创 Creed: integrity, scholarship, community, creativity and excellence as they practice the elements of this model.<\/p>\n
SDES strives to develop leaders by actively engaging students in holistic development, allowing students the opportunity to create and apply ideas, learn about themselves, their community and their world. SDES encourages the 麻豆原创 community members to continue to develop open, honest and meaningful relationships based on mutual respect.<\/p>\n
SDES believes that leadership involves collaborative relationships that lead to collective action, grounded in the shared values of people who work together to affect positive change.<\/p>\n
A leader is not necessarily someone who holds a formal position of leadership or who is perceived as a leader by others. Rather, a leader is one who is able to influence positive change within themselves, for the betterment of others, the community, and society.<\/p>\n
In SDES, we are all educators. We are all life-long learners. We are all potential leaders.<\/p>\n
