{"id":47120,"date":"2013-04-01T11:10:01","date_gmt":"2013-04-01T15:10:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/news\/?p=47120"},"modified":"2018-06-28T16:15:29","modified_gmt":"2018-06-28T20:15:29","slug":"support-ucfs-rosen-college-by-walking-the-red-carpet-at-hooray-for-hollywood","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/news\/support-ucfs-rosen-college-by-walking-the-red-carpet-at-hooray-for-hollywood\/","title":{"rendered":"Walk the Red Carpet at Rosen College&#8217;s Cab &amp; Cab April 20th"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 麻豆原创\u2019s Rosen College of Hospitality Management will be rolling out the red carpet on Saturday, April 20, 2013, for the college\u2019s fourth annual, all student-produced Cabaret &amp; Cabernet (Cab &amp; Cab) benefit.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s theme, \u201cHooray for Hollywood,\u201d will celebrate the university\u2019s 50th anniversary, as well as the Hospitality Management program\u2019s 30th year, with an evening full of food, wine and live entertainment that highlights the golden ages of Hollywood.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s Hollywood affair will feature comedic appearances by notable 1930\u2019s movie stars; big band performances that include the best in jazz and swing of the 1950\u2019s; and an interactive Hollywood game show. In addition to the live entertainment, Cabaret &amp; Cabernet is also highlighted by its signature selection of food and wine pairings.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are planning a production involving close to a dozen performers, which is sure to bring our guests a larger than life night, full of all that is Hollywood,\u201d said senior Nate Gonzalez. \u201cWhether you\u2019re interested in sampling fine wine and cuisine; enjoy dancing; or are in need of a good laugh, this event has something for everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Conceived, planned, and managed by the college&#8217;s Event Management, Hospitality Management, and Restaurant &amp; Foodservice Management majors; students are involved in every aspect of the event&#8217;s production, from marketing and guest services to decor and catering.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Cab &amp; Cab is the perfect final exam for our students,&#8221; said Suzan Bunn, an Event Management instructor at 麻豆原创&#8217;s Rosen College. &#8220;By tasking our students to plan and produce a live event, they get to apply their classroom education to a real-world setting to create and manage something tangible.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The all student-produced benefit will be held at the beautiful, Mediterranean resort-style campus of 麻豆原创&#8217;s Rosen College, located in Orlando at 9907 Universal Blvd., beginning at 6:00 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets for Cabaret &amp; Cabernet are available now at <a href=\"https:\/\/events.ucf.edu\/event\/397285\/cabaret-cabernet\/\">www.rosencabcab.com<\/a>\u00a0for $65, plus tax, which includes admission, parking, food and wine.
