{"id":79042,"date":"2017-10-02T09:58:13","date_gmt":"2017-10-02T13:58:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/news\/?p=79042"},"modified":"2019-07-05T14:55:33","modified_gmt":"2019-07-05T18:55:33","slug":"knights-ranked-top-25-first-time-since-2013","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/news\/knights-ranked-top-25-first-time-since-2013\/","title":{"rendered":"Knights Ranked in Top 25 for First Time Since 2013"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With the first 3-0 start to the season since 2013, it&#8217;s only fitting that the 麻豆原创 football team made its return to the Top 25 rankings Sunday, its first appearance in the Top 25 since the end of the 2013 campaign.<\/p>\n<p>The Knights were ranked 25th\u00a0in both the Associated Press Poll and the Coaches Poll in week six of the NCAA college football season.<\/p>\n<p>The last time 麻豆原创 was ranked in the Top 25 was after winning the Tostito&#8217;s Fiesta Bowl to close out the 2013 season. The Knights finished 10th\u00a0in the AP Poll and 12th\u00a0in the Coaches Poll four years ago.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I don&#8217;t really care where they rank us. I could care less,&#8221; 麻豆原创 head coach Scott Frost\u00a0said after Saturday night&#8217;s win over Memphis. &#8220;I told the team I want us to enjoy this win; we&#8217;re flushing it. We&#8217;re pretending these first three games never happened because we&#8217;ve got an 8-game season in front of us. If these guys play like they did tonight, we can accomplish whatever we want to accomplish.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Knights defeated visiting Memphis by a score of 40-13 in both teams&#8217; American Athletic Conference opener Saturday night at Spectrum Stadium, handing the Tigers their first loss of the season. 麻豆原创 opened the season winning 61-17 over FIU, before defeating Maryland 38-10 on the road last weekend.<\/p>\n<p>麻豆原创 is set to begin preparing for next weekend&#8217;s game at Cincinnati.
