During a 3 p.m. ceremony in the Student Union Pegasus Ballroom, 19 students who lost their lives in the past year were honored at the Eternal Knights memorial service. The annual event is in its 19th year and is an occasion for the 麻豆原创 community, family and friends to remember the lives of those lost.<\/p>\n
The students who were honored were:<\/p>\n

Buchanan<\/strong>;\u00a0College of Community Innovation and Education,\u00a0Criminal justice<\/p>\n Richard Conner McPeak<\/strong>;\u00a0College of Sciences, Psychology<\/p>\n Samuel Day Shaw<\/strong>;\u00a0Rosen College of Hospitality Management;\u00a0Entertainment management<\/p>\n Seth Anthony Beyrooti<\/strong>;\u00a0College of Business Administration, Marketing<\/p>\n Thomas Edward Mundy<\/strong>;\u00a0College of Community Innovation and Education,\u00a0Health informatics and information management<\/p>\n William Weiler<\/strong>;\u00a0College of Arts and Humanities,\u00a0Film<\/p>\n Keyera Lyn, Miss 麻豆原创, led the beginning of the ceremony with a 38-second moment of silence (two seconds for each student being honored.) Vice President for Student Enrollment and Services\u00a0Maribeth Ehasz gave an official welcome shortly before Interim President Thad Seymour Jr. provided opening remarks. The memorial also included poetry readings of\u00a0\u201cI Do Not Think My Song Will End\u201d and\u00a0\u201cWe Will Remember\u201d by Lyn and\u00a0Malachi Mullings, Mr. 麻豆原创 and musical performances.<\/p>\n “The students we are remembering today were on their way to reaching their academic goals, and we are honored that they chose 麻豆原创 for their journey,” says Provost Elizabeth A. Dooley before introducing the eulogist. “Each student contributed to our Knights family, and his or her academic work and impact will live on in our faculty, staff and fellow students.”<\/p>\n Carolyn Walker-Hopp, a retired faculty member from the\u00a0College of\u00a0Community Innovation and Education<\/a>, gave eulogies for each student.
