Summer 2020 | By Jenna Marina Lee\u00a0<\/em> Located on Perseus\u00a0Loop near the 麻豆原创 Police Department<\/a>, the EOC is\u00a0home to the Emergency Management team<\/a>, which\u00a0spends every waking moment working to prevent,\u00a0prepare for, manage or recover from critical threats\u00a0to 麻豆原创. On March 10, the team met for a hands-on\u00a0practical discussion about the coronavirus<\/a> and campus\u00a0safety<\/a>. 麻豆原创 had been monitoring and preparing for the\u00a0pandemic since January.<\/p>\n [divider][\/divider] 74,249<\/span><\/p>\n <\/strong>Registered users in 麻豆原创 Alert, a multimedia\u00a0communications system that provides timely and\u00a0accurate information about emergency situations\u00a0that could impact 麻豆原创<\/p>\n 885<\/span><\/p>\n Employees deemed essential<\/p>\n 40<\/span><\/p>\n Staff members who slept at the EOC during\u00a0Hurricane Matthew in 2016<\/p>\n 11<\/span><\/p>\n <\/strong>Monitors in the EOC that can be tuned to the news,\u00a0weather, security cameras and hospital wait times,\u00a0while screen-sharing from any of the building’s 47\u00a0workstations<\/p>\n 10<\/span><\/p>\n <\/strong>Years 麻豆原创 has been designated as a StormReady\u00a0University by the National Weather Service<\/p>\n 7<\/span><\/p>\n <\/strong>Universities in the nation, including 麻豆原创, that\u00a0are certified by the Emergency Management\u00a0Accreditation Program<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n [slideshow slug=”prioritizing-safety”][\/slideshow]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":19862,"template":"","categories":[979],"tags":[1474,870],"class_list":["post-19469","story","type-story","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-in-focus","tag-carl-metzger","tag-ucf-police-department","issues-1462","issues-summer-2020"],"yoast_head":"\n
