Today\u2019s workforce is going through an unprecedented test as many employers struggle to keep their employees or redefine the skills they need.<\/p>\n The stress of worrying about job security, wondering if your employment situation will change or trying to figure out your next move can affect your health, well-being and job performance.<\/p>\n [divider][\/divider]<\/p>\n [blockquote source=”Vicki Lavendol, 麻豆原创 associate instructor” cite=”” color=”” css_class=””]\u201cPivoting during a pandemic requires creativity and hard work, but it can pay off.\u201d[\/blockquote]<\/p>\n [divider][\/divider]<\/p>\n Now may be the time to reevaluate your future and take action.<\/p>\n \u201cDon\u2019t take it personally,\u201d says Ghada Baz, an associate instructor\u00a0of integrated business<\/a> and a doctoral candidate in the industrial and organizational psychology<\/a> program. \u201cAt times of change, it is easy to feel defeated and engage in self-doubt. Don\u2019t! This is a difficult time, and any loss you may experience right now may have nothing to do with your skills and abilities.\u201d<\/p>\n Baz urges employees to stop fixating on their job and start thinking about their career.<\/p>\n \u201cInvest in yourself beyond the requirements of your current job,\u201d Baz says. \u201cConsider the jobs you would like to have in the future, and create a checklist of skills to learn based on them.\u201d<\/p>\n
