BIOGRAPHY:
Cadie received her BS in Marine Science from the University of South Alabama in 2023. After graduating, she worked as a laboratory technician in the Coastal Biogeochemistry Lab at Dauphin Island Sea Lab until 2024, when she joined the Aquatic Biogeochemistry Lab at Â鶹Դ´.

RESEARCH:
Cadie is interested in how applications of ecology and biogeochemistry can increase resilience of wetlands and coastal ecosystems to sea level rise, coastal erosion, effects of climate change and ecosystem restoration. Her research is currently focused on understanding the effects of alternative restoration materials on biogeochemical cycling in estuaries, and the impacts of basalt fiber bags on microbial activity.
