BIOGRAPHY: <\/strong><\/p>\n

Angelina previously earned her bachelor\u2019s from Eckerd College in 2021, majoring in Environmental Studies with a triple minor in Sustainability, Marketing, and Management. In 2023, she graduated from the University of Michigan School for Environment and Sustainability with a Master of Science with a dual specialization in Ecosystem Science and Management (Conservation Ecology) and Geospatial Data Sciences. After her M.S., Angelina worked as a Limited Term Instructor of Ecology and Environmental Science at Kennesaw State University where she taught upper-level ecology lectures and labs, a series of introductory environmental science courses for non-science majors, and online biology labs. Angelina is now excited to be a part of the Marine Ecology and Conservation Lab at the Βι¶ΉΤ­΄΄ as she pursues her PhD in Integrative and Conservation Biology.<\/p>\n

RESEARCH: <\/strong><\/p>\n

For her M.S. thesis, Angelina conducted her research in Greece, assessing the impact of an introduced species of rabbit on the abundance, diversity, and composition of plant and arthropod communities on islands in the Aegean Sea.<\/p>\n

Now, as a first-year PhD student in the Marine Ecology and Conservation lab at the Βι¶ΉΤ­΄΄, Angelina’s dissertation research will likely focus on quantifying the ecological importance of seagrass communities in Florida. Her data-driven research will address the gap in knowledge surrounding the impacts of seagrass community loss and shifts in diversity throughout the broader Florida food web.<\/p>\n
